What is New in XAMN? 

Automated language detection  

For those handling cases involving multiple languages, this latest release introduces new features that will greatly enhance your workflow. 

In XAMN 7.9, we’ve added a new smart processing tool: Language Detection. With it, you can quickly discover what languages are contained within your extractions, whether you’re looking at message texts, calendar events, emails, or other properties containing data created by the user. By automatically detecting the languages from devices under investigations, this tool will speed up your case work. 

Column view- reinvented! 

There are several View Types in XAMN, but Column View is, without a doubt, the go-to for most forensic analysts.  

If you are one of them, you’ll be pleased to learn that the enhanced Column View in XAMN 7.9 guarantees a more intuitive and efficient user experience. It is highly customizable and allows you to work through artifacts with ease, significantly streamlining your investigations.

Tag all messages in a conversation 

 Many of your investigations will rely on conversations as a crucial source of evidence. Thus, being able to tag an entire conversation with ease will lead to faster reporting of vital findings.  

Navigate directly to a specific value in the SQLite viewer 

 The golden rule in digital forensics is that validation is at the heart of successful investigations. So, we’re constantly trying to make this process as straightforward as possible. 

In the previous release of XAMN, we made it easier to validate the data we decode by informing you of the table, column and row from where the data was parsed, which facilitated locating data in the SQLite database. With XAMN 7.9 we expanded on that important functionality. 

Now, not only do we identify the exact details of where data is parsed from within a database, but you can directly navigate to it. This upgrade makes it much faster to validate the source of a value.  

Transcribed audio and video attachments  

 The time-saving Speech-to-Text function is a must for investigators working with audio and video files. With the new Speech-to-Text transcription feature in XRY, numerous audio and video files are seamlessly converted into text. This means you can now search for keywords within the transcribed text, greatly simplifying the process of analyzing conversations in XAMN.
