James Eichbaum - Global Training Manager
James Eichbaum is MSAB’s Global Training Manager and an instructor as well. He is a former peace officer, having served a combined total of 16 years with the Modesto Police Department and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office in California. As a detective with both agencies, James was a digital forensics examiner assigned to the Sacramento Valley High Tech Crimes Task Force. James possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Security and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science.
Hatem Tammam - Technical Trainer
Hatem Tammam has been a Technical trainer with MSAB for almost three years. Prior to joining MSAB, he worked on a wide range of specialized training projects for law enforcement agencies in the UK and Middle East and acted as a digital forensics consultant for the Ministry of Interior in Qatar. He has taught Master’s degree courses in digital forensics and cybercrime analysis for service personnel in the UK Ministry of Defense. Hatem achieved academic instructor status for a wide range of mainstream forensic tools as well as publishing various research papers and journal articles in cyber security.
Shaun Sutcliffe - Technical Trainer
Shaun Sutcliffe has been with MSAB for over 9 years and is the company’s senior technical trainer. He has taught over 150 XRY Kiosk, Certification, Intermediate and Advanced Acquisition courses in over 20 countries worldwide. Prior to joining MSAB, Shaun served 25 years in the UK military. The first 20 of those were spent in military intelligence, before moving into digital forensics. During his military service, Shaun completed 3 tours of Iraq, 2 tours of Afghanistan, 2 tours of the Falkland Islands and 1 tour of Kosovo. Shaun has worked with military organizations, intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies from all over the world. He has recently taken on an extra role within MSAB which sees him now involved with Curriculum Development as well as delivering training.
Mikael Ibáñez Lavesson - Technical Trainer
Mikael Ibáñez Lavesson has worked for MSAB for nine years after started as a Technical Support and Product Testing Specialist. He is now head of Purchasing for Development and responsible for internal training on all MSAB products. He has conducted end user workshops and delivered certified training courses all over the globe.
Gary Coulthart - Technical Trainer
Gary Coulthart is MSAB’s technical sales support and instructor for Australia and New Zealand. In his prior role as a police officer and government corruption investigator for more than 13 years, his duties included digital forensics, training, and covert and major crimes. He has managed investigative teams and task forces and he founded a consultancy business serving government and private firms in digital forensics, corruption and misconduct investigations. He has been called on to give evidence as an expert in digital forensics, cell site analysis and investigations. Gary has a Post Graduate Certificate in computer forensics, a Master’s degree in adult education (HRM), and a bachelor’s degree in policing.
Jacques Lobel - Technical Trainer
Jacques Lobel has been a technical trainer with MSAB since 2015. He served 27 years with the French Army, the last 12 of which were with SOF. As a talented multi linguist, Jacques has delivered courses in Spanish, Catalan, French and Swedish. He has been deployed on more than 20 combat and other military missions throughout the world. In his assignment in SOF, Jacques was involved with the training and organization of SSE (Sensitive Site Exploitation) in SPCOPS.
Chris Currier - Technical Trainer
Chris Currier has been with MSAB since 2015, teaching mobile device forensics. Chris is a retired police detective who served as both an investigator and examiner with the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Chris continues to work part time as a police officer examining mobile devices. He previously worked as a contract instructor for Sumuri, LLC teaching, updating, and developing mobile device forensic courses. Chris is also an adjunct instructor for the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council.
Jerry Diamond - Technical Trainer
Jerry Diamond is a technical trainer, based in Florida. He previously spent more than 14 years with the Manatee County (FL) Sheriff’s office as a detective in the Homicide Investigative Unit, and as the agency’s lead digital forensics investigator. He is certified in and teaches mobile device forensics from entry level through advanced acquisition techniques including chip-off, JTAG and ISP methods along with advanced Android forensic techniques. He is also certified in computer forensics, and historical cell site analysis and has spoken at multiple industry conferences. He has testified as an expert in these areas in both state and federal courts.
Phil Cobley - Training Development Lead
Phil Cobley has 12 years of U.K. law enforcement experience, starting at age 19 as a police officer and being promoted to Sergeant at age 24. After managing patrol & community teams and serving as a custody sergeant, Phil decided to start part-time undergraduate studies at the Open University in Software Development. He is now working towards a Master’s degree in Information Security and Digital Forensics. Phil managed Bedfordshire Police’s Digital Forensics Unit and ANPR Intelligence Development Unit, where he became a qualified digital forensics practitioner, certified in Windows, Linux and Mac forensics, including mobile device forensics, network investigations and security systems. Phil has managed investigations of high risk child abuse and child sexual exploitation cases. After several years managing the Digital Forensics team Phil was seconded to the Regional Cyber Crime Unit for the East of England, where he worked with business and public sector bodies on cyber security strategies before joining MSAB in 2016. Phil is currently focused on developing all MSAB online training courses and revising onsite training materials.
Rozaili Idris - Technical Trainer
Rozaili Idris – Prior to joining MSAB as a technical trainer, Rozaili served as a digital forensic examiner in the Criminal Investigation Department of the Singapore Police Force. At the same time, he trained law enforcement officers in the proper techniques of search and seizure of digital evidence. Aside from computer and mobile forensics, Rozaili was also a Certified Forensic Video Technician.
Berthold Linden - Technical Trainer
He started his professional career as an energy systems electronics technician. Berthold has 20 years experience as a training and principal technical support engineer with Sun Microsystems and Oracle, working in firewall security and encryption, networking and high end storage.
