Limitations using the targeted extraction of non-jailbroken devices:

• iTunes Backup encryption must be disabled.
• Calls and Tasks are only supported up to iOS 12.
• Attachments are not supported on Chat (iMessage), MMS or Voicemail.
• The device needs to be trusted.

Support for targeted extraction of jailbroken devices is also available in XRY. This option is very fast and efficient and offers the retrieval of much more information than before. You can expect to perform a complete targeted extraction of a jailbroken device in 5-10 minutes or less, depending on the amount of data that is retrieved, including the time it takes to decode the information.

The huge advantage with the targeted extraction of jailbroken devices is that it does not require the device to be trusted. If the device is not trusted, there is some data which may not be possible to retrieve, marked below with an asterisk (*).

Please note that the targeted extraction will adhere to any triage settings that you are using. If the overriding XRY triage settings result in no data retrieved, you will be given the option to continue with a normal extraction instead.
