By Mike Dickinson, Deputy Executive Officer at MSAB, on the public health crisis:
It feels like every company you have ever done business with is currently emailing about how they are managing the Corona virus situation. We are providing this update (and avoiding clogging your email inbox) by posting it here.
MSAB operations during the COVID-19 crisis
The following MSAB departments are designated as “critical” and staff will continue to operate as normal:
- Technical Support
- Test Department
- Production Department
- Reception Desk
We will continue to answer your support calls; testing for the next release of XRY continues on track; your orders will continue to be shipped, and you can send documents to our offices as needed.
For the rest of the company, we are doing our part to help protect public health by ensuring those staff members who don’t need to be in the office can work from home and we can ‘safely’ keep the wheels of MSAB turning remotely.
Training is a special case and we have received many last-minute student cancellations recently, which means scheduled courses could not be held. We get it, and we won’t be looking to enforce our usual terms and conditions if you are forced to not attend because of the Corona virus. The 14-day notification requirement will be waived from now until the end of May. All we ask is that you ensure you reschedule your training course for a later date this year for a course commencing October 31, 2020 or earlier. Naturally, if the health crisis continues longer, we can review and extend that deadline as time progresses.
You can track the status of courses here: https://www.msab.com/training/course-occasions/
We want to prevent any unnecessary travel and risk of exposure to you, so please contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org for any courses in which you have already enrolled if you believe you will not be able to attend.
Don’t forget we have plenty of online, on-demand training course options available for you to attend from the comfort and safety of your own home. We have recently added our 2-day XRY Certification course to our online course catalogue, so you can get certified in XRY from anywhere, at any time (contact email@example.com to learn more.)
Stay safe. Hopefully by the summer we will all be through the worst of this exceptional event and things will be back to normal.
