Every single mobile device is different and each one needs to be tested individually to provide the best forensic support. MSAB have been doing this since 2003 and we retain an original of every single mobile device we offer support for. At our HQ in Stockholm we have thousands of different mobile phones, tablets and GPS devices. This means that whenever you have a support issue, we can immediately access the same device from our secure vault and run comparison tests to provide you with the best possible support.

3. OUR HELP FILES – know in advance what you can and cannot recover

One of the great advantages of doing things properly is that we can provide a help file for every single device we support. This searchable index document provides detailed information on precisely what you can and cannot recover from each device. The XRY Device Manual is unique and an incredibly valuable time saving device which gives you immediate access to our expertise. Knowing in advance and being able to advise what you can recover from individual devices gives you the critical advantage.

4. A LIFETIME WARRANTY – outstanding support

All new equipment supplied by MSAB is covered by a standard 24 month warranty but in addition to that MSAB offer the best warranty and support program in the business. Provided you maintain your standard software license without interruption then MSAB undertakes to provide a warranty on all your hardware indefinitely.

5. DOING FORENSICS PROPERLY – we’re not fooled by file extensions

In forensics you cannot trust what the device is saying - you have to check it for yourself.  XRY was designed from scratch for true forensic analysis and we always check the data. XRY examines the file signatures of data rather than the file extensions to avoid being fooled. This is an easy test you can do for yourself to check whether a solution truly has a forensic focus; a system which overlooks this is fatally flawed.

6. NEW CABLES – everything you need delivered to your doorstep

As part of the standard XRY license MSAB undertake to supply you free of charge all new cables released for new devices supported in future releases of our software. Under the agreement once you have registered your license, we will automatically ship you new cables free of charge to your doorstep at no extra cost. You won't have to chase us every time to get free cables delivered.

7. MULTIPLE EXTRACTIONS - three times more effective

Standard XRY systems have the capability to provide multiple simultaneous extractions, so you can examine up to three different mobile devices all at the same time. With smart phones and tablet devices continually increasing in memory storage capacity, it is taking longer to perform examinations these days. This solution allows you to do more at the same time at no extra cost and is unique to XRY.

8. XRY Reader – Displaying Best Evidence

XRY Reader is a purpose built application designed to show best evidence by displaying digital material in al format as close as possible to how you would see it on the mobile device. XRY Reader avoids many of the pitfalls of data exporting, compatibility and storage capacity relating to digital media. It provides a secure environment to display all the device data in one place; including videos, mms, pictures, audio and geo-data to assist analysts and investigators.

9. TRIAGE TOOLS - helping users in the field

For users in the field we provide purpose built digital triage tools. The Field Version is one complete unit which extracts and displays data in the field immediately so users can see the results. The Watch List feature in XRY immediately identifies hits from a user’s target database whilst extracting from devices, so you can quickly identify devices of evidential value and access 'actionable intelligence' immediately.

10. IMMEDIATE RESULTS - view the recovered data real time

There’s not a lot of point in being able to extract data if you can’t actually see the results straight away. Our tools are designed to show users the results immediately on screen wherever you are. There is no need for the secondary transfer of data from the extraction device onto yet another computer in order to see the recovered data. So when you need to make time critical decisions quickly, XRY has the advantage.

11. NO SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE - interchangeable kit minimizes downtime

We believe that a software based solution provides the best overall resilience for digital forensic customers. Whilst it's nice to have everything in one box, just make sure it's commercially available off the shelf; otherwise if it breaks you won’t be able to swap it out and immediately get working again.

Embedded solutions with bespoke hardware mean when something goes wrong it all stops. You have to send it all back to the original manufacturer to get a repair or replacement. Whereas if you have a software based solution designed for a common platform like Windows, then if the PC breaks, you just install it on another machine. Meaning you can keep working and avoid unnecessary downtime.
